I'm gotta say Im a little surprised. not ONE comment on the new GTR. I thought that was all you guys thought about LOL weird. :screwy: :dunno: You seem confused, as much as I appreciate they Skyline, it certainly is not on my mind much at all. In fact, I don't have a kit of the Skyline even. Stop assuming. cyclone1410 11-26-2003, 01:45 AM the spy photo is on the second page of the thread Which thread? It is obviously not this one as there is NO second page. I give up!! moondog 11-27-2003, 06:40 PM photochops, and a spy pic of the 350GT coupe here is the V35/new Skyline discussion (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=133585) Partfromjapan 11-30-2003, 04:48 AM We got the internal confirmation from Japan Nissan, they cancel to build next generation GTR, due to the bad sales and huge cost to meet the new emission regulation. partfromjapan@yahoo.com Skiier 11-30-2003, 09:02 AM Is there an official statement to verify this, press release or something? cyclone1410 12-01-2003, 02:30 AM We got the internal confirmation from Japan Nissan, they cancel to build next generation GTR, due to the bad sales and huge cost to meet the new emission regulation. partfromjapan@yahoo.com This is incorrect. Carlos Ghosn (CEO Nissan) recently announced at the Tokyo Motor Show that the next GTR (R35 for those interested) will be released in 2007. This was confirmation of similar rumours floating about for the last 12 months or so. I doubt very much that the CEO would come out one week and announce that a car is going to be released and then a week later have the company anounce that it is not going to happen. This press release is summarise in a variety of car magazines and also on the net. I have spent the last week searching high and low for info and even got a fax from Nissan stating the above release date. The name R35 does not refer to an inline RB series engine either. The new car is tipped to use a version of the VQ series, probably in 3.5 litre guise with perhaps a turbo or two. There have been sightings in Europe and Japan of 'turbo sounding' (not my quote) Skyline mules running around the place. moondog 12-02-2003, 03:26 PM Like I said: here is the V35/new Skyline discussion (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=133585) Can we shift this discussion/thread? Otherwise we end up once again with like ten threads all about the enw GTR etc vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
