Make my 93 Escort GT last forevermemus 11-24-2003, 03:38 PM Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I have a 5-speed '93 EscortGT that I bought new 10 years ago. It's got 133,000 miles on it, and I want it to last forever. I've had very little trouble with it, the biggest thing was a timing belt breaking. I've not made any changes to car; just changed the oil regularly. It still runs good, in my opinion. I was wondering if anyone could share with me some things I can do to help keep this baby running. Thanks!! bigrod118 11-24-2003, 08:25 PM things to make it run better or longer. maintainence. but we can all thell you plenty of things to make it go faster and perform better. which is the question that you're asking. lgroulx2000 03-23-2004, 10:32 AM I have a 92 GT that I purchased new. It has been a great car. I parked the car for 3 years until my daughter turned 16. I gave her the car. Last Wed she hit a van with it and creamed the front end. I like the car, I cannot get rid of it. Bought a high mileage 92 GT for $1,200 to use as a parts car to replace the hood, grill, lights, rads etc. To make a long story short - don't let your kids drive the car. Larry [iV]Kermit 03-23-2004, 10:41 PM Larry! LOL! The first day I got my license I got into a wreck and wouldn't drive a car until I was forced to for work three years later. I'll try to remember this when my kids turn 16 and not let them drive either. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
