Hi All, I just bought a Rodeo today knowing that I had to fix the heater as it was not working. After I brought it home I found that the Heater Motor was "hotwired". Ran +12V from the battery direct unfused and tied into the wires this guy used for his custom stereo and turned it on by twisting wires together..amazing. I got the fan to work after I found the custom wiring and tied it together.

I have done some checking but am a little stumped after hooking everything up properly.

1. There is no voltage across the fuse for the circuit marked "Blower" after I hooked it all up properly. I wonder where the voltage source comes from into the fused circuit. Should it be always getting voltage when IGN is on? I assume so but without schematics I have no idea.

2. I took out the resistor pack thinking that it could be the likely source but don't really know what and how to check it. I still believe it is something else as there is no incoming voltage on any of the pins into the pack. Can anyone give me any advice on the next place to look. I Have also pulled the connector out of the fan control dash switch and there is no incoming voltage from there either on any pin..I would assume that it would.

Help..I just want to start enjoying my new ride..anything would be appreciated

Just to let you know I figured out that the fuse worked only on the start curcuit..so I have power but the relay is alway switched on...and I have +voltage on the Blue/White wire into the heater motor with the other wire (blue) seemilngly a dead circuit.

Hello, I have a similar problem. The heater in my 94 Rodeo just died and I replaced the motor, control switch, and checked all the fuses. I haven't replaced the resistor because I was told that if it was bad the truck's blower would still work but only on hi. I'm stumped! I don't know if you had any luck with your problem? If so could you give me some advice? Thanks.
