I just realized how the title of this thread could be misleading. this is an AMT F&F kit, but i filled in the holes for the wing and sanded off the hood pins and I am in the process of painting the car Saphire Blue with metal flake(Model Masters). i have also painted the wheels white (Tamiya). Other than that, im keepin it box stock. the body should be ready to be polished tomarrow so I'll update then.

Hows the detail on the engine included with this one? Worth it enough to buy the kit just for the engine?(gonna place it in a Fujimi Evo VIII model)

no, so I've heard the AMT eclipse is shit engine wise, not a 4g63, it has the neon motor in it. The revell metal body plastic build up kit has the correct turbo-ed 4g63 engine. I can post pics of mine, if you'd like. BTW, CAV, did you clear coat your rims?

yeah, i am less than impressed with the detail under the hood. but i got the kit for $8 so i cant complain...
p.s. Im gonna post some pics of the body freshly painted later today
p.p.s. i didnt clear coat the rims, i just put 4 coats of X-2 for a more convincing white

CAV, pearl clear coat them rims and the body, and you'll have a work of art, the paint looks very nice as is, but would look better IMHO.

Ive never seen 20" subs before but...now im thinking about deep sixing the back seats and maybe scratch building some amps for the trunk. or just make a box for one. i dunno...

you could have bought sum subs from me :)

well i decided to use one of the subs i bought even if it looks weird. but now i have nowhere to put the amp. oh well. i started the interior today and being that i get a week off of school for the holiday, i should be done by the end of the weekend. maybe, i dont wanna rush...

but when i tried to dry fit them onto the frame, i found that there was no room between the wheel well and the strut so it wont fit with the springs on, im thinkin about grinding it out until it fits, or maybe just cut a whole in the frame for them to fit.

do what you have to to make it work.

i actually like the sup like that and i think the ammp will look good on the back seat

the body is only resting on the fram thats why its sitting so high. also, i cant make up my mind where to put the Nitrous tank at, any ideas?

Is there a lil hump behind the center console that goes to the back seat? If so, Put it there.

thats where i was thinking, but because the hand brake is one the other side of the console, it makes everything look crowded.

Don't put it on the console, put it behind, or does the console stretch across to the backseat?

i went ahead and put it on the hump that goes to the back seats. (the console streches back all the way to the back seat) thats the only place i can see to put it.

hmm, yet another AMT mistake, well maybe since the years are different, that's why, because in my 91 GS, the console didn't stretch to the rear seats.

this whole kit is nothing but a mistake. so i would guess your right.
btw, this is my last progress post, im going to clear coat the body and polish it and finish all the little last minute things and I'll post a Finished thread sometime this week. thanks to everyone for their input and help.

those are the tires and rims that came with the kit, i just painted the rims white...
