Help (for a newbie)!

I had to unplug the clock and heater controls when I installed a pro-fit bracket to hold my phone... when I plugged everything back in, everything worked, except I did not have illumination of digital clock, or the recirculation, a/c and defrost buttons (although air flow buttons DO illuminate)!

Clock, everything works fine. Just doesn't light up.

Any ideas?

Check fuses

which one? I checked the clock fuse, it's OK

Usually when I blow a fuse I check them all just in case

checked all fuses... all OK

any other ideas?

I double checked the plug in the back of the clock... and in the back of the climate control unit... all plugged in. Like I said, the clock works, climate control works... just the illumination of the buttons/clock does not.

Hmmm... Maybe the bulbs are burned out? Maybe I can buy new bulbs?

My first post here.

For the clock, the 6th generation Accords are notorious for the bulbs burning out when unpluging the clock. I found that out on my 2000 Accord when I unpluged it to install a different radio.

The bulb only cost me around $2.00 at my local Honda dealer. It was very quick and easy to replace.

As far as the climate control, I don't know about that one. Maybe the bulb burned out on that too?

Anyone know if the bulbs on the climate control buttons are in series? or no?

They are not in series.

Crap, that means I need 3 more bulbs! :doh:

Actually, called Honda. He said he's never seen all 3 of them go out at once, that most likely there is only 1 out and they are in series. *shrug* guess I'll open it up and check it out.

I am having the same issue with 2003 Accord. Any good ideas?
