BMW M5 470 HP UpgradeSamurai75007 11-21-2003, 12:41 AM BMW M5 470 HP Upgrade Add 70 HP to your 2000 - 2004 BMW M5. Cost: $12,500. Audi Ryder 11-22-2003, 12:54 AM only 70hp, for $12.5K? That doesn't sound like much of a deal to me. :iceslolan shameless plug (http://boykinracing.us/index2.htm) hsk73 01-26-2004, 05:53 PM What's in this package? Is this same as Dinan SC kit? :D Samurai75007 01-26-2004, 06:50 PM Don’t know. I think it’s got to be exhaust intake and some inside engine upgrades. lakerfan1784 01-31-2004, 09:54 PM The upgrade is the Dinan S2 package, and here is a link to a Car and Driver Specialty File on the vehicle: http://caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=4&article_id=2499 BTW, it costs 35 grand and is more than an engine upgrade. hsk73 01-31-2004, 10:53 PM That's what I thought and $3500 sounds about right. :D Do you know if that includes installation? With or without, 76 horses for that price sound pretty good to me. :D Samurai75007 01-31-2004, 10:58 PM umm no i thought i put it this is the hennessey performance upgrade. sorry. http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/hennesseyperformance/ItemDetail.php?Item_ID=106&cart=uRchEfJK&DoThis=BMW+M5&ActionReq=Where hsk73 01-31-2004, 11:17 PM Wow, I guess no one will go to that place after this... :D lakerfan1784 02-01-2004, 12:22 PM hsk73, that price isnt 3500, but 35000..... :eek2: sorry for the disappointment. it includes suspension upgrades, etc. and does include installation crayzayjay 02-06-2004, 09:47 PM 470bhp is a fairly straightforward job with the M5 engine. A colleague of mine has a Hartge-tuned M3, which consists of a lightened M3 with an M5 engine tuned to 470bhp. He still doesnt find it fast enough and is tuning it to ~520bhp. Needless to say he's insane. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
