BMW 325e 1986 I have some questions??Bethbabie 11-17-2003, 01:38 AM I just bought the above car at an auction I've checked and seems only have a few things wrong with it.First thing ;the front end shakes, but only after I hit 50 mph. It's an automatic and the transmition seems to shift alittle hard.I'm thinking maybe just front tires are not balance right?Second thing: at an idle I hear a low squeaking and it runs ruff.I know it needs a tune-up thats a given, but I'm thinking that it might be the alternator.I had to replace the battery when I first got the car home.I plan or fully restoring this car although it dosen't need much looks like new and compression is very good on engine. The last thing is that the on bored computer in dash "brake line" has been on since I bought it.I'm having the brakes checked next week. What I was wondering is would that make the front end shake if a master cyinder or something to do with the brakes?? Thanks KC Ron Carter 11-17-2003, 11:09 AM Is normally a balance issue. It can be a bent wheel also, but that is very easy to see during the balance work. Everyone in the industry will state the best wheel balance available is with the Hunter GSP9700.
