Hello everyone! First time poster here.

My low beam headlights went out on my '92 Cherokee last night. The high beam switch on the steering column works except I have to hold the switch back to keep the high beams on--it will not lock. One of the headlights is the factory original but I replaced the other headlight less than a year ago, so I doubt its the lamps.

I'm thinking the problem lies with the headlight switch. When you pull it, the parking lights will come on but not the low beam headlights. Thoughts?

If it is the headlight switch, is this an easy replacement for a rookie like me or do you have to disassemble stuff (dashboard, etc.) or need special tools to get to this switch?

TIA!

I had that problem to, I went to the Jeep dealership and the mechanic on staff look at the symptons and he told me it was the day time running lights. If you go to your Jeep dealership they can give you the part for about $100 and its a easy 10min. job you can do at home.

In my case, a $15 headlight switch solved the problem. Thanks for your response though.
