I currently have a 96 Honda Civic Coupe SI with a D16Y8 engine, I'm planning on putting alot of money into my car so what other engines could I install that would fit without to much messing around. Sorry if this sounds a little noob. Thanks for your time.

d16y8 = SI ??? :nono:

Unless you're from Canada, in which case, :loser: Sorry, no offense, it's just that Canada and I don't get along that well.

The y8 has the most potential out of the d-series engines, so i don't think it's a hopeless motor. There's turbo kits that are made that can push 200hp with some work. A really easy swap is a b16 as that link probably shows. It's from the 99-00 SI's. Everything bolts up but it does require a B-series tranny of course. That swap is running me 2200 but i'm doing the swap in the driveway of the guy who's selling it to me over the course of a weekend. I think 300 is what labor is going to be, but that might be negotiated because there's gonna be like 5 of us doing this one swap. I can't wait, yay! :iceslolan

Thanks for the info, you don't know how helpful that is. Keep up the good work.
