Was just wondering what your opinions were about what kit would probably give the fastest 1/4 mi times. I have a 1999 Honda Civic Si. I have considered FMAX, REV HARD, GREDDY, DRAG. Assume the internals will be kept stock.

Any other comments on kits for my car are welcome.

Thanks,
M

FMAX uses one hell of a wack fuel enrichment system. They require you to use two extra injectors to get the fuel needed. Only heard bad things about the DRAG kit, mismatching turbo sizes and a fucked up fuel enrichment system also. If I were you, I would go with RevHard, ditch all the FMU and delta wastegate and Vortech BOV and go with Hondata, Tial wastegate and a BOV of your choice

rev hard kits dont come with delta wastegates anymore the went to 35mm tial i think if you know anyone that know alot about turbos then ask me to purchase the parts for a custom turbo to fit your goals for the carif not then go with a rev hard stage2 drag and fmax just suck

or if you have the money get a full race but you will have to get a fuel system (i would suggest hondata)

Cool thanks.

What is #12 the resistor box for?

Any thoughts about the Greddy kit?

the greddy turbo is just to small for the fastest ¼ mile time plus it is about the same price if not more for the rev hard or drag or fmax

what are your goals do you want to run 14's or do you want to run 13's or 12 or 11

obviously if you keep stock internals you wont run 11's but if you got a nice kit and a good fuel system you probably good run 9 psi on your b16 but if you stay if the fmu that most kits put with their kits then i would say dont go past 7 psi

i meet a guy that went to school with my bother in law and he ran a 13.9 on street tires @9 psi on a stock gsr integra with a custom kit

ive seen turbo si's at the track all the time running 14.7 and higher each with diff kits and diff drivers, i just dont see the point in turbo'ing a b16 unless you completely rebuild it, theres a few nice ones putting down great power but the majority ive seen run like ass

have u ever thought of the drag kit for ur car

i will never recommend a DRAG kit to someone until they change their stuff. it has a sucky wastegate and smaller turbo and a manifold that wants to crack 9 times out of 10.

the turbo b16 lack torque that is way unless you ebuild it to get some torque it probably wont run as good as the b18's with turbo

if i were you i would go with a rev hard kit it is only 2800 on ebay from one of there dealers (this is where i got mine and they are trust worthy) kit the kit then after a while learn how to drive it then get a new fuel system so you can up the boost a litlle at the most 9 psi cause you still have stock internals and that should get you into mid to high 13's

My 00 integra ls ran 14 flats at like 80+ mph with only a drag turbo kit...running the set 5psi...after that larger injectors, fuel pump, apexi afc good good tuning and a boost controller can give you a low to mid 13 sec car easy...all on stock internals...rememebr tuneing tuneing tuneing
