I was wondering, if someone gave you the opportunity to pick three cars from the list and drive them on a competition course which would you pick? Would you rather have a manual or automatic transmission? Which cars under $30,000 did I forget?

Hmm....I dont see anything from Ford on there. Funny, this is in a Ford forum...but I'll bite anyway.

Since I'd be on a racetrack I chose the 350Z, but only because its RWD. It would also have to be a manual transmission or I wouldnt even consider it. Tied with that is the RX-8 for the same reason plus its has the new and improved Wankel that makes as much power N/A as the previous twin turbo RX-7. Too bad I cant vote twice. My second choice would be the WRX just because I want one and I love the sound of the flat-4. That and AWD. And turbo.

350Z- the Neon is FWD- which instantly rules it out for me IMHO (Yes I know my car is FWD)- the others except the RX8 are AWD- which is nice but too easy. While the 350 is a faster car than the RX8 naturally- hence my choice.

And I'd have Manual- anyday of the week- Automatic transmissions are a joke on Road courses IMHO

I dont think this is really Vette related, but I have driven the Evo, the WRX, and the SRT-4... If I was hurting for the cash at 30k...the SRT is a hands down bang for the buck champ. But the EVo is just eye catching and awesome in my opinion. I like the handling and the power, and it just seems to feel nicer than the WRX...but thats opinion...all those three cars run really damned well, and I almost traded my old truck in for the Evo.

You definately need to include an S2000.

Ya, I know no Ford products... I would have put in a sweet Mach 1 but since we're getting a new Mustang next year I decided not to include it. All the mentioned cars are new this year or just had a new makeover and will be pretty much the same for awhile. I just saw the new Mustang at Sema and it looked awesome! The new Lightning was really nice to, but I'm not so much into the trucks. oh, and hey, Mazda is owned by Ford so maybe that half-way counts :iceslolan

I picked the SRT-4, Evo 8, and the RX-8.

I'd take a blue 350Z a red 350Z and a black 350Z :iceslolan

hmmm, I'd pick the Evo, 350Z, and SRT-4. SRT4- barely over the RX8 because I'm really wondering what the SRT-4 will do even though it's probably the slowest of the bunch. The WRX gets dropped off the list only because I've driven a 2002 WRX on track before.

If you're going to have the EVO there, why not the STI instead of the lower WRX?

For performance and 30K, the STI and EVO owns all and beats all.

For performanca and 20k, the SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck.

i'd go z rx8 and wrx, the z isn't turbo charged, but has the largest displacement, and many companies either are working on one or have a forced induction kit made for crazy horse power. the rx8 would just be to pick up chicks(3 other seats), and i could see myself with tinkering with the wrx, seeing how much power is available without having to upgrade the turbo.

evo-8 all the way then the wrx and then the 350Z for some reason the srt-4 just isn't me, i don't like that car its kinda become a car that i want to catch on the street and beat, beside my personal feelings

RX8 would be my last choice because the car looks weird...I like RX-7 FD better...better lookin and feel u know...

the 350Z is actually one of the slowest cars mentioned. the evo-8 and the sti and the srt-4 are all faster than the 350Z.

I'd pick SRT-4 Since its a Dodge. Then i'd Pick a 350z dunno anything about em but the 1970 240z kicked ass didnt feel powerful but was fast

i would take the 350Z (cuz i love the z cars), the rx-8 (cuz i love the rotary engine), and the wrx (jus cuz its the next best).

something that i would very much like to drive is the ENZO....u guys know u wanna stop in 1.3 seconds from 60MPH...i swear i just wanna know what that feels like

yeah, the enzo would be my dream car to drive. but there is one thing about the enzo, it needs to have a conventional manual. the paddles are cool and all, but i would like to use the clutch and shift gears through a gate.

Even though its the cheapest of the bunch, I wouldn't mind taking an SRT-4 out for a spin. I've heard that it's really underrated and I'd like to feel those exra horses everyone is talking about. Then again, I'd like to test drive a 350z just to see what all the fuss is about there too.

i would choose the evo rx8 and 350z just cause i think the rx8 has lots of potential looking at the rx7's engine and it has the renesis which is supposed to make it better... i would choose the 350z because there are already turbos that put 417hp to the weels even though they are $7,000 +, and i would take the evo because it has more potential than the wrx and its awd...
