I just recently joined ACME model club (Atlanta Car Modeling Enthusiasts), and just in time to be a part of their annual car show. Which was held this past weekend.

This was my first model car show and I was blown away by a lot of cars there. There were around 420 entrys or so.

Some guys you may be familiar with participated - Veyron, Zoom-ZoomMX-5, and myself, there might be others also. You may catch a glimpse of some of our stuff in these shots.

Enjoy the pics!

That Bobby Allison Chevy is too cool and I really dig the BMW M1. Sweet stuff in general, though.

I'll dig up the pics that the builder Ken Mouton sent me when he built it, he sectioned the body by 2.5 mm, keeping the flares and then blending them into the hood. He also made the taillights much smaller, into a triangle. Neat model, for sale for $150 if anyone's interested.

omg, not one single skyline!

There were a few skylines there. This is only pics of 20 of the 420 cars that were there. I could only capture about 130 of them before my memory card was full. One skyline resembled the 2F2F paint scheme. It was pretty nice.

We sure do.

I'm sure a couple of those 350z's will be at the next meeting. ZoomZoomMX-5's green Z needs to be seen in person to really see the depth of that paint. It's awesome. Looks like you could jump in and swim in it. It'd be great to have ya come by. Meetings are the first Sunday of every month.

I don't know if I like the Enzo color scheme, but I will say it is a daring paint job.

And I was in Atlanta this weekend! Sure wish I had known about it ahead of time. But, I doubt the girlfriend would have let me go anyway. Oh well, so close and yet so far....

Those model are great, much better than any at the piddling little show they throw down here (no offense to anyone who puts tha show on, if they read this). That yellow Z is just, cool. And that Enzo, I really like its paint! I might not sell my kit after all....

Yeah, any more pics? Espescially of that blue, red and white racing Z? I'd really like to see how it looks-- it appears to be a throwback to old Datsun racing livery?

This is my first post, though I have been checking out the site for a few months now - Hope it comes off okay!

I built several of the cars pictured in the original post:
Nissan 350Z - the sectioned yellow one
Ferrari Enzo - red and black one
Mercedes CLK GTR - the business end showing
Mercedes SLK - black with the chrome flames

My name is Ken Mouton and I enjoy building sports cars, exotic cars, and LeMans racers. The ACME show in Atl was ,as usual, one of the best shows in the southeast. There were alot of great models there, including the ones by Veyron and ZoomZoom MX5. Several vendors were there (Scale Motorsports, M+S Hobbies, Stradasports, etc) also.

If anyone has any questions about my models, just contact me. I'll be glad to explain anything i've done.

Welcome Ken!

Your models were inspirational! They were a hot topic of conversation every time I stopped to gaze at them, people had all good things to say. the CLK-GTR's paint was the best Benz silver i've ever seen. You really captuted the F-1ness of the Enzo in that paint combo.

Hey Ken, are the wheels on the Jiotto Caspita from the stock Z car?

CADguy is zipping me all his pics from the show so I can make an album for people to see. So if everyone sends me pics, my album will be pretty decent. Sure wish I had time to go around myself and do digital photos, but the day just slipped away. I also got some pics from Bruce Owen, who won best in show w/the "Virtue RSX".

That racing Z is just so... right.. It does a great job of blending a new car and old school racing style. Just fantastic. Thanks for that!

And being a hardcore Honda fan, that S2000 is to die for! I sure hope my S2000 racer comes out like that.

In fact, all those models are fantastic. Oh man oh man I sure wish I had known about that show!

Yes, they are. I didnt like the kit's wheels and I was working on the Z at the same time, so...
