1998 Dodge Ram 4x4 Tire size questionfourtwenty 11-10-2003, 07:04 PM Hi, I just bought a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 4x4, ext. cab. It needs new tires and the ones that are on it are pretty small. What are the biggest tires I can fit on this without any rubbing. The suspension is completely stock. Thanks for the help! duke88 11-12-2003, 08:58 PM Go to www.pavementsucks.com. You can find some very usefull help there. CraigStevenMiller 11-15-2003, 03:32 PM I have an '01 Ram 2500 4x4 with 285-75R16, 33" and they fill the wheel wells fully and do not touch. johnson1824 11-16-2003, 08:28 PM Dude, i ran 35X12.5 on my ram 1500 and all i had to do was turn my stearing bumb stops out a bit to keep the tires from hitting the radius arms when i turned sharp. Right now i'm running 37X12.5 MTRs on my ram but i also have a 5.5 inch fab tech lift with 4:56 gears. I love it!!! Mtngoat 11-18-2003, 12:48 PM I have a 99' Ram 2500, and I have P295/75/16 BFG AT KO(33.4") with a little rubbing in turns. I got a 2" skyjacker suspension lift so I could run 33" Super Swampers (2nd set) and chains with my BFG's. You should be ok with the 285/75/16's, but you might run into trouble if you put chains on the front. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
