Aftermarket Warranties

I'm curious about experiences and suggestions regarding aftermarket or non-factory warranties that can be purchased for used vehicles or for a vehicle whose factory warranty has expired. Which companies' warranties are the better-recommended ones (as well as the ones to avoid)?

To start with, I've had a warranty on most of my cars. It’s just like any other insurance though. If you don’t use it, then you feel like you wasted the money. But, if you do need it, it can save a bundle. As an example, I have it on my Spyder. It cost me 900 for the coverage I got and it did cover a transmission replacement which runs about 5K. Needless to say, that one paid off.

Your best bet is to google for companies to see what people think of them. Calling the better business bureau will also give you information on any potential service you might use.
