89 Corolla power losstol 11-09-2003, 01:53 PM Hello: My corolla has started giving me a strange problem. It is a five speed manual SW. When I drive around the city I have no problems what so ever. But, when I hit the freeways, after some time( usually 15-20 minsof driving). The car starts to loose power without any apparant reason. If I slow down it again becomes ok. This has happened a couple of times. When my mechanic took it for a drive it did not show the problem so he was kind of out of ideas. The feeling is very similar to engine stalling it is as if you are pushing it too hard, but otherwise the engine seems to be in perfectly fine shape. There are only 74000 miles on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated AceNZ_20v4AGE 11-10-2003, 05:35 PM sounds like a engine temp problem, I dont know... but in the city your going slow with traffic infront stopping heaps of air hitting the front on the highway high speed and heaps of air rushing in drops the temp alot, but I dont know why it would stall GTS91 12-03-2003, 01:48 PM Hello: My corolla has started giving me a strange problem. Problem will likely appear only when the engine runs at higher RPM and is quite warmed up. :iagree: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
