NE Ohio All Acura meet for Spring 2004

I know I'm a little early, but I'm starting to organize an All Acura meet either in Cleveland, Akron, or someplace in between. I'm gonna spend the next few weeks trying to find a spot to have this with a lot of room, and also a place that we can all take some great pics. If anybody is from around this area, please keep an eye out for the perfect spot.

We're looking into having this meet at Quaker Steak & Lube near Rockside RD/Independence, 10 minutes south of Downtown Cleveland.

Tell your Acura friends, let them know that a big meet is coming in the spring. I already have 50 Acura's coming, and we just started talking about this a few days ago.

Reply here if you plan on going. We're gonna have trophies for best of show in each model category, plus giveaways and tshirts. The plan is to have this either May 9th or 16th on a Sunday from 11AM well into the night. Hope to see you there.

I'm still working on a location. Quaker Steak isn't interested, so I've got to find a big enough place to have 100+ cars. Any ideas?

Read your post there is a huge shopping center in Brunswick which is in Medina OH they have a huge cruise-in on saturday nights weather permitting which about 200 cars plus and every car you can imagine classics and imports. not organized they just have a dj playing music. its about 30 min from rockside and about 20 min from Akron.nothing goes on there on sundays. There are also cruise-ins at wal mart and any other place you could imagine

I got a location. JD Byrider of Canton is going to allow the show to be in their huge parking lot at 3000 W. Tuscarawas St. Canton, OH 44708. The date will be Sunday May 30th from 11am to 5pm. At 5pm, then we're gonna caravan to Dragway 42 from 6pm to 10pm for some late night drag racing. The show entry fee will be $5 and you'll have a chance to win trophies and other prizes. Dragway 42 will cost $10-15 depending on how many people go. If anybody has any questions, you can email me or PM me here.

Rain date will be Sunday June 6th.

OK, here's the deal. We're gonna have 2 different shows, one weekend after another.

~The first show will be:
Sunday, May 30th, 2004 - *12am to 7pm* - $5 entry fee. We will have a cruise in and a 1 hour drive around the city and highway. There will be free food and trophies given away.

~The second show will be a 2 part show:
Sunday June 6th, 2004 - *11am to 4:30 pm* - $5 entry fee. There will be another cruise in and another drive around the city and highway. More free food and trophies will be given away. The second part of the show will consist of everyone getting together and driving 40 minutes away to Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio. There will be a $10 entry fee for an open track from 6pm to 10pm. You can get in as many runs as you want, you can even set it up so you can race your friends. This will be a lot of fun and I encourage you to get your butt out there and race with us.

Both car shows are going as planned. We spent $70 on trophies for the May 30th show, which by the way, is now free to enter. We also spent $275 on trophies and dash plaques for the June 6th show, which will still be a $5 entry fee. For the June 6th show we have Rock 107 (www.WRQK.com) coming out from 12pm-2pm to do a remote radio spot. Plugd Entertainment will be taking care of the music on the May 30th show, as well as the rest of the day on June 6th before we head to Dragway 42. Auto Zone will be here giving away free prizes as well. There will be a few models there to take pictures next to your car. Last but not least, there will be hot dogs and hamburgers so you don't go hungry.

All cars are now welcome, but they must be nice, clean cars. Imports, domestics, motorcycles, anything. Let me know if you have any questions at datdaz84@usa.com.
