3 rotor RX-7

I was looking through the box of my Tamiya RX-7 R-1 and the motor.... well let's just say it looks tiny. And I was thinking, boy would it be cool to throw in a bigger motor, but who wants anything but a rotor in an RX-7? Wait! But... what about... a... three rotor engine?! Holy cow that would rock the world. I don't plan on doing it, the modifications would be very extensive and fine; far further along than my skills could take me. But I was wondering if anyone else had undertaken the project? That would be very cool to see. If not, I hope I inspire someone.... Anyway, three rotors anyone?

I just might have to undertake that task! That's a good idea, but i'm a 2nd gen mega fan, so it'd be slapped into a FC. I think I may slap on in an FC after I get done with a Sil-eighty drifter.

why not got for a 4 rotor engine swap, but you can only get it from this kit though and its out of production.

Hm.. maybe I could cut the R-1 motor in half and add some plastic in tbe middle making it one rotor wider... Maybe I will do this... I just wish I had a scrap motor lying around to experiment with.
