jay leno speakingmaartenvanthek 11-04-2003, 04:16 PM found this top gear article of jay leno comparing two gordon murray designs, he's quite clear in his opinion of the f1, and he's comparing it to the SLR.... http://www.topgear.com/servlet/tg?DEST=/content/jsp/individualRoadTest.jsp&EVENT=1010&MAKE=Mercedes:C7&MODEL=McLaren-Mercedes%20SLR:XX&roadTestNumber=01.html McLaren F1 Guy 11-04-2003, 04:35 PM Interesting article. I'm surprised he didn't mention his LCC rocket. I wish they had showed a pic of his F1. I recently saw a book at Barnes & Noble called something like "fantasy garages" or "dream garages" and one of the chapters was on Leno's garage. They interviewed him about his cars, they showed a pic with his mclaren in the background but for some reason he didn't say a single thing about it! Peloton25 11-04-2003, 04:48 PM That's a great read - I just wonder if Jay wanted to be so directly quoted like that. In the stuff that he writes himself for magazines like Popular Mechanics, he always finds more creative ways to say the same things without incorporating the swearing seen in that article. He made some great points though. :D I'm also surprised he didn't mention his LCC Rocket. >8^) ER mini magic 11-04-2003, 10:41 PM there isn't as much censorship in england ;) tvrfreak 11-04-2003, 11:01 PM Mini magic, I have spoken to Jay Leno numerous times. He does not talk like that. I am sure he said some of the things in the article, but I think the reporter did take some liberties. Even when speaking off the record, and talking about cars, Jay Leno is just not crude like that. Porsche 11-05-2003, 02:09 AM "Zat is not a fire, zat is just the heat from ze brake, do not vorry" I really like those articles with Jay, he has som much experience and knowledge to make a good comparison to any other machine out there. f1esp 11-05-2003, 01:42 PM Interwiew where he mention his Rocket... and McLaren... http://www.roadfly.org/milemarker/8/jay_leno_interview.1.html my english is so bad F1esp Peloton25 11-05-2003, 01:47 PM That's a great article f1esp - I had seen it before, but don't mind reading through it once more. Also - your English seems quite good to me. >8^) ER Sexy beast 11-05-2003, 02:04 PM Jay Lenno is the ultimate car guy! :smokin: f1esp 11-05-2003, 06:13 PM Thanks Peloton My English is soooooo bad...... I understand nearly 75% so it's a hard work to me. I'll try to improve my participations in AF Regards Peloton25 11-05-2003, 06:22 PM There are too many problems with the English language to go blaming yourself. For instance, I could have finished this sentence several different ways. I had seen it before, but don't mind reading through it once more. ...but I don't mind reading through it again. ...but I don't mind reading through it one more time. ...but I don't mind reading it all over again. ...but I don't mind reading it another time. See what I mean?? :screwy: >8^) ER f1esp 11-05-2003, 06:40 PM Ok Let's start my English lessons online vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
