who would win?91dx 11-04-2003, 01:57 AM now I know that you can't totally predict a race BUT... which car would most likley win 95 mr2 with a jdm 3sgte swap or a 98 neone r/t with a supercharger and 55 shot of nitrous. agan I said " most likley " so what do you guys think? ghetto7o2azn 11-04-2003, 11:50 PM wut kind of 3sgte? jdm 90 - 93 (2nd gen) or 94 + (third gen)? it does make a difference 91dx 11-05-2003, 12:09 AM wut kind of 3sgte? jdm 90 - 93 (2nd gen) or 94 + (third gen)? it does make a difference 93 second gen . that's 225hp right? ghetto7o2azn 11-05-2003, 08:21 PM yeah it is but i dont kno much about neons ne wayz so cant really help u DWF Engineering 11-06-2003, 05:30 AM I bet the neon would pull mid 13s where the MR2 would pull low 14s. anything but a dragrace, I'd bet on the MR2. With a good intake, exhaust, and some tuning you should be able to get mid-to-low 13s however and be far more reliable than the neon. Oh yeah, did you know your CT26 can handle about 19 psi? I'm not real sure what you need to do with the electronics at this boost level but the turbo and engine can take it. Look around on MR2.com, this is where I saw the write up on running 19 psi on the US spec CT26. I'd imagine your JDM 3S-GTE/CT26 could take even more. maverickman4 11-06-2003, 11:27 AM this is true, you could run it but it would not last without blowing somthing. also supporting mods would be necessary. on the mr2 owners board www.board.mr2faq.com there was one person running 30psi on stock internals with the ct26 and stock ecu. not sure how but he did it JekylandHyde 11-06-2003, 11:54 AM At 19 psi the ct26 is out of its efficiency range would mean it would be making more heat than additional HP ... it will probably do that right up till you detonate the engine. Not a game I would play. I would never go over 15 psi without race gas and proper intercooling. And you are correct. There is no way to predict who would win. I guess the question is does the 98 neon come with lsd? cuz if it doesnt that boys going no where spinning through first and second heh JekylandHyde 11-11-2003, 02:12 PM really? How can you ever predict who would win any race? To many things to go wrong ... who knows the driving ability of each contestant? I have seen runs where Top Fuel dragsters break and run high 12s ... I can beat that. I was being literal. You can never predict for sure who is going to win ... to many factors. Go race. Come back and tell us how it went :D 91dx 11-11-2003, 04:02 PM How can you ever predict who would win any race? To many things to go wrong ... who knows the driving ability of each contestant? Hopefully I win. anyway I'll def tell you the outcome when it happenes. HondaChili 11-12-2003, 02:55 PM How can you ever predict who would win any race? Come back and tell us how it went :D I did not take into account for driving ability but solely on car performance with both cars working properly NOFOOLIN 10-10-2004, 08:15 PM neons dont have an lsd ghetto7o2azn 10-10-2004, 10:53 PM this thread is old vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
