318ti CD Player Installationpdr01 11-03-2003, 01:30 PM I just purchased a 97 318ti. I want to get rid of the stock cassette player and install a CD player. I was told by the Goodguys installation crew that I could run into problems as the car may be equipped with a stock amplifier. I was told I would have to rewire all of the speakers to bypass this. I don't look forward to this as there appears to be approximately 10 speakers! Is this true? Or, can I just plug the new CD player into the wiring harness via an adapter, and live happily ever after? Your help is appreciated. Philio 98328i 11-05-2003, 09:11 AM Does your car have the HK system? If not, just buy the adapter hook it up and plug up your radio. hotice318ti 11-08-2003, 12:51 AM i was told something like that... so i just simply put magazine at the back.. didn't want to deal w/ complications at the time... also, i didn't know much about ti (or bimmers in general) at that time.. anyways, good luck n let me know what u decided to do and what happened ;) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
