since you can't reply in Igors post....is the DPS system really worth the $250 whats the average power increase and how does it help inprove handling? also to inprove throttle response, higher top speed and RPMs, wouldn't you have to change the ECU settings of the car?

Yeah there used to be a comments thread on the DPS at http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=149099 but it was deleted after someone mentioned something like "DPS claims that it -converts AC current- when cars only use DC current"... I think that kinda killed the thread and people brought up that it IS money back, but you have to pay for the product to be shipped back and a $15 restock fee... that's not really a guarantee now, is it.

I'm hoping this lives up to its claims though...

uh... let me explain :)

1. That thread was taken off-public because it went totally nuts. Cars do NOT only use DC current, whoever posted that is wrong and was shown to be wrong later in that same thread. This is exactly why the thread was deleted, a lot of false and negative information was posted about the product from people who had never even tried it.

2. This is not a gimmick that I am doing to make money guys... I would not put the entire AF at stake for that. Think about it - I am pushing this product every which way I can and I will look like a total idiot if this product does not work. But, the good thing is that I know it works because I have tried it myself. You need to remember that this is something that has never been in the United States before. We have already sent tester units to Primedia so some of their magazines will be coming up with reviews in the near future.
Some Japanese magazine articles (including their dynos) have been posted reviewing the DPS in AF News. Feel free to post replies, just don't post anything stupid or unfounded.

Still seems a bit odd that something to do with the electrical system can have that much affect on actual power and efficiency...

I'm not saying it doesn't work though...I just would like to hear actual opinions...not just ads with people saying they liked it or magazines reporting dyno sheets that could have been just made up...

I might check this thing out, but I'm waiting until I see a bit more about it. 250 isn't bad if it does what it claims...though I'd rather build up my engine and then try this out after I do what I want.

1992 S13 KA-T until I can afford an 1996 s14 SE with an RB25...hopefully the S13 will last long enough.

DPS is backed by 100% money back guarantee, including shipping both ways - can't go wrong trying it :)
