I need some advice/help

Will Pilot 16" alloy wheels fit the 2004 MDX ?
They both have the identical lug pattern but one is
a 16" and the other is a 17"

I'm looking to put PILOT alloys on our new 2004 MDX
with snow tires.

Thank you

Thank you I would not advise to put 16" wheels from a Honda Pilot on a 2004 Acura MDX, you could cause damage to the MDX, though the two cars have similar lug nut patterns they have diffrent hardwear. Though the cars are simliar in many ways it doesnt mean that everthing is interchangible. Also putting 16" wheels on a Acura MDX could be very dangerous in more wasy then one, so although they would fit it might be better to leave your Acura wheels on your MDX. Good Luck!

There's no problem. Other then spring rates and shock tuning, the two are the SAME under the body. Also, although the Pilot has 16s and the MDX has 17s, the actual diameter is the same because the MDX runs a slightly lower profile tire. Both SUV's also have the same size brakes (so the brake rotors will fit fine under the 16s). I know several people running this same setup. Just be sure you get the correct snow tire size (235/70-16) on the Pilot wheels.

MDX wheels 17X6.5
MDX Tires 235/65-17

Pilot wheels 16X6.5
Pilot Tires 235/70-16

Both setups have a radius of 14.5"

If in doubt, just call your dealer.
