When I shift into 4wd, the transfer case will not engage. This is NOT a push button electric shift, but a manual floor shifter with auto hubs. Any suggestions??

Try checking your vacuum hoses. Although it is a mechanical floor shift it still uses a vacuum system to engage and disengage the 4 wheel drive. I had the same problem about 4 years ago.
