heat shield on spark plugs

Are the heat sheild around the spark plugs on the1999 ram 5.9lt eng. removeable? And how, screw out or pull out. Thanks for any help. Doug

Yes they are removeable. Squeeze/pinch at the base (near engine block) and pull out. I had to pull a few to remove dirt, then I re-installed them.
