1997 pcv valve replacementbobcat47 10-28-2003, 07:09 PM Where can I find the pcv valve on the 3.3 v6 and when is it recommended for replacemnet? lewisnc100 10-29-2003, 08:42 AM Where can I find the pcv valve on the 3.3 v6 and when is it recommended for replacemnet? The PCV valve is attached to the top right side of the upper intake manifold, don't have a picture handy but if you go buy one and then hold it up to the hoses that go into that side of the manifold you should see the right one fairly easily. I replaced mine at around 95k and it was still clicking back and forth but did have some oil buildup. Make sure you soak the valve with a penetrating oil or WD40 for 15 minutes or so before attempting to loosen the valve. Someone else on another board busted their intake manifold trying to get theirs out. Mine came out very easily and replacement just took a couple of minutes. A new valve should only be around $2.00 at any auto parts store. hbar 10-29-2003, 08:24 PM WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD PCV VALVE ?? TIA Bahr '93XE v6 lewisnc100 10-30-2003, 07:48 AM WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD PCV VALVE ?? TIA Bahr '93XE v6 Not really sure what all the symptoms are, I think it depends on whether the valve is sticking open or closed or a little of both. I know one of the common symptoms mentioned is that you'll start to see some oil on your air filter. 4x4dillo 10-22-2004, 02:25 AM ive had the same problem. i have oil in the air filter and relpaced the pcv valve but i still have oil in the air filter. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
