hks gt3037 turboslix 10-28-2003, 04:50 PM Hey im looking for this turbo to be shipped to the southeastern US within the next week. Will pay up to 1500 depending on milage/condition. Anyone have one or know where I can get a slightly used or new turbo at this price? VQuick 10-29-2003, 02:09 PM You'll probably have to settle for a used GT3037S turbo. Brand new, I think they retail for around $1800. I think they usually require a custom manifold too. What size engine are you putting this on? An RB20 maybe? The largest motor I've seen a GT3037S on is 2.4L(Honda K24). Folks with 4-bangers love 'em. They're supposed to be very responsive, and still good for big power. The weakest motor I've seen with one was a 4G63 in an Evo VI making 450hp, and the highest was an Evo VII that had 540hp. slix 10-29-2003, 06:02 PM Have an rb25det in my '95 240sx. The stock turbo was leaking oil and had major shaft play, so I figured i might as well get a better one if im gonna have to fork over the money. VQuick 10-29-2003, 09:31 PM There might be better, cheaper options out there for you if you're using an RB25. Can you find a remanufactured turbo or something? I'm sure there's something cheaper than $1800 for a turbo and then having to get another manifold. Another issue is the sizing. I was a little surprised to see Top Fuel use a 3037S on a 2.4L Honda K24. I thought they were pretty much for 2L engines, and that was it. Something as big as an RB25 might be pushing it. I might be wrong, but it's just another thing to look into. Thomas1980 11-11-2003, 11:19 PM how many liter is the RB25 if nissan holds true to other style cars like the VQ30 being 3.0 liter and the VQ35 being a 3.5 liter i would think the RB25 is a 2.5 liter 6 but i and probably wrong tazdev 11-12-2003, 12:57 AM yes the RB25 is 2.5 liter vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
