programmers

does anybody know if these programmers can be used to reprogam more than one truck? i have an 02 Z71 and my wife a 03 Tahoe. i would like to reprogram both trucks will this require two programmers?i know there are a few makers (hypertech,granitelli,super chip....etc.). if anybody can help me out i would be greatful.

programmers are set up for 1 vehicle. You put in the vehicles VIN in order to reprogram the computer. In order to change to another vehicle you have to reset the first to the default program. Also some of the programmers are set up for a specific model year. You cannot use an '02 programmer for an '03. You may want to double check with the manufacturer this info but otherwise they would sell one and have everyone pass them around to make changes.

Tuxhoe is correct, the Hypertech programmer is setup for one vehicle at a time. It must be removed from the vehicle before using on another. It is also set for say three different engine types but on specific years only. Check with the manufacture for vehicle specs...
