Sprints races at Sepang F1 circuit - GTRs in finalR33 10-26-2003, 06:22 PM Guys, a video of last weekend sprint event at Sepang F1 circuit is at http://terato.com/cars/event/sepangdrag18oct03/default.asp. It is about 70mb. The final is between two R33 GTRs. Pictures are so so. SkylineUSA 10-27-2003, 03:58 AM R33, Cool Site. I am still downloading the vid. raysoh8 10-27-2003, 07:11 AM nice site, i didnt know a site like that existed. you have to be a member to view things on that site, right? so i have to get consent from my father and hes not in.. damn. i want to see the show! R33 10-27-2003, 09:13 PM The site is started by some kids/students! I have to agree it's a cool site. Ray, just log in and register. Parental permission is not necessary. SkylineUSA 10-28-2003, 12:08 PM R33, Way cool vid. I just wish they would have posted times of each run, so you knew what you were looking at. Hows your car coming along? I am waiting for parts, for my project:) R33 10-28-2003, 11:10 PM Yeah...they should show the timie posted. But you know, sprinting is just gaining momentum over here and professionally held competitions are just beginning....it needs time before it could come up to a really good level of organisation. FYI, the guy who lost out in the final is a friend running a montrous T88. The winner clocked 11.8. My friend who lost out in the final had earlier clocked 11.4. He lost in the final after his AFM went berserk! Many of the other cars you saw are Proton, the car produced by us using Mits' engine. Those cars are normally powered by EVO3 engine. My car is plodding along quite well despite the downshifting problems. I am now trying to source the OS Giken gear parts from Thailand. If everything is okay, I hope to retune the ECU, install the OS set and repaint the car in December or early January. How are you progressing with yours? What have you installed and in which car? (i have to ask in which car for obvious reason!:)) SkylineUSA 10-29-2003, 12:19 PM I have been working a lot lately, so I have not had any time at all to work on the cars. I hope to be able to put some time in this month, but we will see. A guy in my shop has a Proton, so I am some what familar with them. Pretty quick little car. The term Euro-Trash coms to mind:) j/k R33 10-29-2003, 06:39 PM Yup. The GTi is not bad actually. Revs up quite quick....till about 4800rpm that is :p With some cam works and PnP, it might just fly. The suspension is pretty good too, with input from Lotus (a Proton subsidiary). Keep us all posted about the GTRs. Good luck. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
