I have a blown head gasket and I'm trying to remove the upper intake to get to the heads. There's a Torx (T-30, or 40) bolt in the center that a normal tool can't reach. What do I need to do?

I used a 3/8" drive torx socket and extension, you have to work it in sort of, not push it straight down but sort of sideways until you get it through then you can align it to the bolt.

just did one on my 88 5.o . I used a 1/4 drive torx socket {male} and extension, 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and 3/8 wratchet and extension. I wonder why they came up with that setup? found the fastner came out with little trouble. when installing, put fastner in place before putting on manifold, and hold it down with socket and extension.goes together much easier that way.
