HammyTim 10-24-2003, 11:02 AM Its been a fortnight since I last posted some decent action on here, I was away last weekend working out of town, however this Friday night was excellent, so here goes. Doing lasp around town around 9pm before the drags, met up with a couple of mates at the gas station to fill up, we talked for a bit before heading off to the straight. 9:30pm V8 Falcon started to keep a steady pace next to us, dude in the passenger seat said “haha what a crappy laser” we thought fuck this, hooked second and floored it, got 3 car lengths on it, then hooked 5th and left him in the dust. Later he parked up next to us and goes “that car isn’t standard is it?” Mate took on a Trueno (same is his I think), however Ill leave results of that race up to him to post. Back to the straight and… RZ Supra Turbo (one I was talking about a fortnight ago) VS Lancer GSR… GSR got shat on, very bad choice to race Same RZ Supra Turbo VS R32 GTR.. These two went from a rolling start 2 weeks ago, and again tonight, the Godzilla won, not as much of a beating as last week, wonder if the supra had done more mods. At this point I was txting a mate about these races, he asked what mods were done to the GTR.. So when he parked up I asked him, HKS Pod Filters, Full After Market Exhaust through to the manifold, forged pistons, few other bits and pieces. I don’t know what exactly has being done to the supra but it sure is hell isn’t stock, It won a few more races so keep reading :) After doing a few more laps in town we headed back, it’s now around 1am and the boys get out their toys. GTIR Pulsar VS Some Lancer GSR / Evo or some shit, Evo Won, the baby goddy has major clutch problems RX7 VS Lancer Evo3… Evo3 won, major traction problems for the rota. Laser TX3 VS GT Starlet.. The Starlet took it 2-3 car lengths… GT Starlet VS Same RZ Supra.. Poor owner of the GT Starlet, Supra won by bus lengths.. Same RZ Supra VS Lancer Evo3.. Supra won again, he is really making a point in the Waikato illegal drag scene. So far the R32 GTR has been the only car that has beaten him Same Evo3 VS Lancer Evo0 Evo0 took it, Evo3 owner was pretty disappointed. GTO Vs Evo4… The Evo4 took it, 2 or so car lengths. There was another race involving a white Integra and something else, I forget who that was and who won Well that’s about it, we decided to go home at about 10past 3, no sign of a cop in sight tonight, I wonder if they got called out to something big, who knows. Anyways it s now almost 4am Saturday morning and I need my sleep. Will be happy to explain :) Cbass 10-26-2003, 06:50 PM The Falcon is teh equivalent of the Taurus over there, midsizer, but it's rear drive, and has V8 options, as well as a turbo V6 which is quite quick too. The Laser is closely akin to the 323 GTX, light, AWD, turbo mazda B series engine, same as in the first gen miata. I have a hard time believing the Falcon is 1800kgs, since that's around 4000lbs. The newer XR8s are around 3400lbs...
