It was developed with nearly zero compromises, by the mind of a very forward thinking race car designer with an almost limitless budget. The objective was to build the greatest road car ever and many would say that it was certainly achieved.

People can point out the speed, the quality of materials, the attention to detail in construction, the three-seat layout, the awesome engine, the unique transmission design, the invoative (for their time) brakes and many other attributes, but the thing that really makes the total package so great is all in my first paragraph.

why not make a thread in misc instead of in every forum? (Pagaini etc)

becuase there will be people that will disagree with each other and throw the whole thread into a childish arguement.

========================================

as for why this car is great, i think its the overall success. in motorport, it dominated the greatest race in the the world in 1995 and assaulted the sportscar championships like a pack of wolves for the following years.

in the automotive world, its speed and acceleration were just insane. imagine yourself as a press member in 1993. what could possibly be speeding through your mind when you heard that a car from Great Britain can do 0-60 in 3.4sec and a top speed of 231mph? would you believe it? i know i wouldnt. but then agian the F1 has proven itself and it was tested to have a top speed of 240mph and 0-60 in 3.2sec. its sister variation, the F1 LM, used to hold the world record for 0-100-0. it is just now that cars built over 10 years later are starting to compare to that speed.

i can go on and on about the techological innovation and radical features, so i wont :)

it sounds like you not ready to do your HW seriously... :grinno: and Supercar sounds like a new subject to you.

if so, just get a copy of the last EVO, the "Supercar Issue"
Ferrari Enzo vs Pagani Zonda C12S vs. Koenigsegg CC8s.

good luck
