Some nice McLaren F1 stock photos by Ron KimballPeloton25 10-23-2003, 12:50 PM http://www.ronkimballstock.com You can only see the thumbnails until you register for the site. I haven't looked into registration yet, but I would assume it's not cheap. I'll check it out later as there are some shots there I would love to have. UPDATE: Registration appears to be free, but they do ask for name & address. There are also some strict terms of use which doesn't really surprise me. >8^) ER jkbon 10-23-2003, 02:12 PM "Some nice McLaren F1 ...photos" you just use the word "nice" to describe these pictures ?! My english is not very good but I think this word is not strong enough ;-) Peloton25 10-23-2003, 02:20 PM You are correct - my mistake. :sorry: Please replace "nice" with "incredible". :iceslolan >8^) ER Stratoraptor 10-23-2003, 03:08 PM pfff...finally. i have been looking bigger pictures of the tiny ones under the McLaren F1 LM poster that im sure u guys r familiar with. thanks for sharing. Peloton25 10-23-2003, 03:29 PM Ok - I just checked my original link and pages 2-4 don't seem to be loading any images for me. Maybe it's just me though?? Here is the main link to his site: http://www.ronkimballstock.com/index.asp?tag=cats&site=rkcar If you click on 'Exotics' and then 'McLarens' then all the pages of thumbnails should load properly. I found a larger version of this one on the portfolio page - SWEET!! http://a1.cpimg.com/image/B1/EC/25053361-4e4b-01F4014D-.jpg >8^) ER mini magic 10-23-2003, 03:31 PM in fact registration is free, but u don't get the pix much bigger, something like 300x200, which isn't enough, but its decent mini magic 10-23-2003, 03:39 PM here is the size they all appear as (btw, i posted a larger pic of this pic a few months ago in this forum, i scanned it off a calender i have, i can repost it if u want) http://speed.supercars.net/boardpics/2003-9-23/1614499-mini%20magica.jpg Stratoraptor 10-23-2003, 03:51 PM the link to this thumbnail isnt working for me so it cant load to the bigger one. does it work for anyone else? http://www.ronkimballstock.com/Pix/CART/0010/000945T.JPG ...also, i would like to know how you came across this site. :sly: it sounds like an interesting story :) this reminds me. a while ago i found some studio pictures of the F1. it looked to be from a foreign artist. some of the pictures had the F1 driving along side an F50. i wanted to share them but i forgot the link. Peloton25 10-23-2003, 03:55 PM Someone on SC.net posted the link - that's how I found it. I told you guys that website is good for something. :lol2: >8^) ER mini magic 10-23-2003, 03:57 PM yeah, it is quite good for pix, alot of people on there have media passes to the press sites of major companies. Stratoraptor, that link isn't working for me either f1esp 10-23-2003, 08:07 PM Does anybody knows if there is a brochure about the LM? Gracias andybee 10-24-2003, 04:10 AM not a brouchure from memory, but a press pack which was in a grey folder with F1 LM was on the cover in clear sort of varnish (like the GTR one if anyone has seen that) and a number of A4 Portrait style cars with two images (IIRC) per sheet, all the pics you regularly see, the engine, the car with the leaves etc etc. You also got a LM pin badge (although thats the only one I'm missing) Peloton25 01-20-2006, 01:50 AM A larger version of a variation on one of these images has turned up and I was able to enhance it to the point someone could use it as a desktop wallpaper if interested. Otherwise it's just a great shot of an LM which is hard to come by. http://www.supercars.net/pitlane/pics/1986457dsmall.jpg (http://www.supercars.net/pitlane/pics/1986457d.jpg) Click Me! >8^) ER Peloton25 01-20-2006, 03:06 AM ...and WHOA MY GOD - there's beautiful new pics there now of XP4!!!! :22yikes: Why do his prices for prints have to be so high... :( Oh well - I'll definitely get one - they are just too perfect and again XP4 is one of my favorite cars. >8^) ER McLaren F1 Guy 01-20-2006, 10:50 AM Wow, those are some really spectacular XP4 shots. Shame that once you register you still get a moderately small photo. The shots of XP4 in the studio with the black background are the same type of shots that appear on Ron Kimball's calendars, maybe it will be on a calendar at the end of the year or something. F1 monster 01-20-2006, 10:54 AM They are nice shots, but definitely not spectacular. I think the angle is too high on most of them. The straight overhead shots are great, they show what a compact package the car is. But otherwise, I think he needed to get lower to get the car in a nicer perspective. I like the LM one at speed, taken from the side, where the background is a blur, but I don't like the one where the background seems to be turbulent. How much are the pictures? Peloton, which one(s) would you buy? Peloton25 01-20-2006, 11:14 AM I actually like the outside shots quite a bit more than the studio ones, although the last studio shot he took at an angle is cool. The side shot on the runway with nothing in the background, and the shot from the rear with the doors up and that large hangar in the background are my two favs. >8^) ER Le Man 01-20-2006, 02:00 PM Nice find peloton, awesome XP4 and F1LM images, Somethink else for you in OTHER EXOTICS or do a search ROCKET (three images). Peloton25 01-20-2006, 02:17 PM Yeah, I caught those as well - thanks though. :sunglasse I wonder if that car is in the USA? That would make two that I am aware of, counting Jay Leno's. >8^) ER vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
