Street Racing Gumball Rally style !!monkey_no1 10-23-2003, 11:06 AM Just watched a documentary on the last 3 Gumball 3000 Rallys! Gasp! Just wondering what you guy's think of it? Anyone been on the Gumball either in the US or European one? It's not quite street racing but some of these cars do pretty high speeds on the open road. Ruf 911 Turbo video'd at 206 mph !!! ' Apparently ' the Koenigsegg CC8S cracked 242 mph on the last Gumball. Couple of english guy's flipped there 355 Spyder (reg plate L000 NEY) at over 120mph and walked away and lot's of other crazy stuff going on! Good to see these supercars being thrashed like they where intended for! 90gs 10-23-2003, 11:51 AM did you know that the JACKASS crew (off mtv) was part of the gumball 3000? johny knoxville and partyboy and a few others Sexy beast 10-23-2003, 12:57 PM Yeah, the guys that flipped the F-355 killed a cow in the process...poor cow. :sunglasse fatninja19 10-23-2003, 01:07 PM Yeah, the guys that flipped the F-355 killed a cow in the process...poor cow. :sunglasse Dammit, I feel like some prime rib now. Except now we aren't bitching about the speed limit, we just don't care what it is, we're going to break it. -The Stig- 10-23-2003, 05:42 PM I prefer the old style Gumball, how it originally started. From New York to Los Angeles in the shorts time possible. I believe the record was something like 36 hours? Don't remember. But this new version they have of stopping everynight at a hotel and partying is such a wussy way to do it. I want to see them going balls out all day and night.. a true competitors sport. Shows the skill of the driver/co-driver and the endurance of the vehicle. But with that said, If I had the money... I'd do it just for shits n giggles. GTStang 10-23-2003, 07:57 PM I prefer the old style Gumball, how it originally started. From New York to Los Angeles in the shorts time possible.
