hey,

My friend is a big talker. Kind of a know it all, if you know what I mean. We argue about cars a lot and I was wondering if I could beat him in a race? he's got a 1992 Honda Accord 4dr (140K miles, not any kind of race edition, if there even is one). I have a 95 integra SE, Greddy evo. Eibach spings. Not much performance stuff.........yet, haha, just give me time, and money :D :p

Thanks

it depends, you might tie with him if his accord is 4cyl, he'll beat you with a 6cyl (i think)

if he's got a 4 cyl you should be able to beat him cause your teg is way lighter. If he has a 6 cyl you'll get fubared, unless you get a good launch and he doesn't know how to race (meaning you do!)

I have both cars, the accord has alot of bottom end torque and revs slow. The integ is faster revving and more topend. I would put money on my teg anyday. But the accord is easier to drive around when your lazy...it's just step and go with alot of low end torque so it "feels" fast.....

It depends on the driver I had a 91 Accord that was stock and I would beat alot of cars I shouldn't have because I'm a good driver.

Accords are in fact, for the most part Grocery Haulers.
Go for it with the Tegra. I wouldnt even waste the gas,
personally. SE Integras are LS cars in GSR drag. They
are in the mid to high 16s... eesh but hey your friend
in the Accord can get some humble pie in his mid 17
(if he's lucky) car. You should leave him imprinted in
your mirrors.

No question, the integra would beat the accord. BTW Accords weren't available in V6 until 94 or 95 (the 5th generation)

jeez i just came back to ph after leaving cuz it fell apart, i was member for over 2 years, i've been back one day and i already see complete stupidity and people talking who have no idea what they are talking about. whoever said that the teg would have trouble with the accord is completely retarded, i'm sorry but you have no idea what you're talking about, and have no business commenting. as a couple people said, the v6 didn't come out until later, and second, even with the v6, the accord is a much heavy car, especially the 4dr, and it is a grocery getter it is not a sports car like the teg, come on guys, think!!! you'll have no problem with the accord man, unless you give him a quarter mile head start, hahhaah

I'm pretty sure they're talking about the first gem teg and a 90-93 accord. That year accord would be very close to the integra of that year.
