My friend has a 94 civic LX. We have been fooling around with it a little, but i'm wondering if there are any free mods that can be done by us to improve horsepower and torque. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks!

im sorry to say it buddy, but if you want hp and trq your going to have to shell out the cash. there is not really much you can do without spending a few dollars here and there. There are some really cheap mods you can do like building your own intake and things like that but in the long run its no good.

Adjusting timing is a "free mod"
You could also remove the bottome half of your stock air intake system, so the filter is exposed(ghetto)

Removing 1 wiper also makes your car faster

Yeah there isnt much you can do w/o spending money but you can do the basic stuff like removing the airbox, TB coolant bypass (really helps), remove power steering belt, Remove AC, and adjusting the ignition timing.

Thats pretty much all you can do with out, spending money.
