Is there anything I can check? I thought it is supposed to idle at around 750 rpm..

According to my service manual for 1995 Sols, 670rpm is standard idle for the Del Sol S and Si. 700rpm is standard for the VTEC. These are for US-spec Del Sol's though. 750rpm is standard idle speed for the Canadian models for all model Del Sol's.

Tighten the throttle cable till you have time to take it somewhere... After your hotties on the hood schpiel I trust you know where the throttle cable on your car is ;)
