ok, I have seen plenty of clips and documentaries with McLarens in them, but never a movie. In the first Lara Croft movie, there is a scene in a garage where someone tells her that an enemy is behind the McLaren, but an actual McLaren is never seen.

So, anyone seen a movie that had a real F1 in it? Ferraris, Lambos, etc. are all over, but I have never seen a full-length movie with a McLaren.

And in a similar vein, what would be a good plot for such a movie. I was thinking that Dumb and Dumber or Dirty Rotten Scoundrels could just as easily have had McLarens in them instead of a Lambo or Ferrari.

..but u have got to remember the rarety of the car. finding an owner who is welling to let his one-of-a-kind (well...a few) car be shipped to a movie set with the risk of it possibly being damaged and not returned for a while isnt very likely.

I was going to say somthing about that soon, I was first watching that movie and that geek says to Lara "over by the McLaren" in a shooting scene, and I said out loud AS IF, WHOS MAC EXACTLY? and everyone looked. It is BS, and i doubt there is a McLaren.
Proove me wrong.
Gone in 60 Seconds tried their asses off to get a McLaren, but McLaren cars Ltd said, good luck trying to find an owner who will get their McLaren scratched.
They ended up with an XJ220, but they were disappointed seeing the movie is based on hijacking the best cars.

Also what happened to "there will be a movie solely dedicated to the F1"? I mean, the most a McLaren has been in a movie, is Wyclefs song clip, with him playing guitar on a silver McLaren, Dunno if it was his, because he has a blue one, could have been repainted, I dunno.
Could have leant 065 for a day, I highly doubt that.

i saw tomb raider a while ago, but i have heard the mclaren is visible. on nick masons exotic car rental site it says the mclaren was lent to the movie. the car is chassis #010R

Wyclef's McLaren was originally Genesis Blue with Dark Green interior. I saw the car back with its original owner long before being sold to Wyclef. After I saw the car and selectively promoted it, it was unfortunately promoted through every shady broker out there. Wyclef's agent bought the car through some very poor business practices. Long story.

His car is now Black with White interior. #022
