I have a 1998 4runner with an RS3000 security system/keyless remote. Unfortunately I do not have the remotes that came with it. Does anyone know how to match the FCC # of the main unit under the drivers seat to the correct remote? The FCC# on the main unit is BAB287000-129 --- Canada 2024 101 627A. I cannot find a remote anywhere with these numbers on, does anyone know which remote would work on my system? Thanks for your help.

You don't need to match the numbers. Any remote will work, you need to program your alarm to recognize the remote frequency. To do this you must locate your alarm (usually under the drivers seat) press the little green button until your security light on the dash blinks red, then use your remote quickly (push the lock and unlock buttons). This will program your new or used remote to work with the stock car alarm.

I should rephrase my last post. Any Toyota 4Runner remote should work.
Just look on ebay for a remote of the similar years.
