Ls tranny swap

Me and my bro have decided to swap the auto tranny from his 95 teg ls to a five speed.i was wondering if anyone knew how much a swap like that would go for.and also, ive heard rumors that swapping the tranny would mess up the car, is that true?

it is quite an expensive thing to do. if you don't have any other perforamnce things done to the car i would suggest trading the car for one with a manual trans. but if you want to do the swap them as long as you do it right you should have no trouble. but it could be a hard thing to do. but if you know what you are doing then it's all good. also if you don't already have it, the Helm Manual would be a good thing to have.
