Rims Black Or Silver/alloy

Hey i have a 2000 black gsr integra loaded, i just sold my gsr ninja rims off and currently have my friends 95 ls steelies till i put my rims on. Should i put black rims on a black car, or alloy silverish color? any input would be great thanks

Man, it's your car. What do you think looks better? You don't need these other peoples' oppion... do what YOU like. :bigthumb:

true it's his car, but he's here for opinions so atleast put yourself in his dilemna and tell him what u think would be better.
for me, the all black look is very clean and give the car a simplistic appeal compared to all them integs with decals.
however, if u have some really nice expensive rims, i would go for the silver alloys to get people to focus on them and not too much on the car itself.
don't get me wrong the integ is sweet, but if your going to get rims, don't u want to let people know u have them? well lets hope the rims are attractive and fit the integ and not something u would put for for a truck or suv.

black rims may look good on a black car, but what i would do is ones like the pic 00gsrblackteg put up. that would be really nice - i think :rofl:

yeah I like the black on black look too....I was tryin to figure out what I wanted on mine too...but Ima wait til after my paintjob to see how it would look....thinkin midnite blue....

These are from tirerack.com $135 a rim think they look pretty pimp personally not to mention they are 7.5 wide for traction purposes. These are 17's so they don't take away from the cars appeal, think the split 5 looks great on sport compacts in general but really good on the integ's. $540 for rims and $800 for some awesome tires and it'd be a nice setup. The split 5's also show through a lot so you can have the rotors and calipers showing. go high po on them or just paint the calipers black or a non-highgloss silver and think it'd look pretty nice.:sunglasse

i personally like silver, or chrome wheels on black cars, cause the colors offset. I personally like dark rims on lighter colors, i have a silver 97 ls and i have dark wheels

It depends on the style too. I also like black on black/dark colors, but black/gunmetal rims also look good on other cars, plus you don't have to clean them every time you park your car.

These rims are nice as well. Like the Fox 5's just a little better because of the tread width though.

Thought I'd ask how wide those rims are? posted above before I knew for sure. As I do like the look better but won't buy rims just for looks it'll have to be for performance.

only come in 2 sizes, 17's and 18's. in 17's the width is 7, and in 18's the width is 7.5. these weren't too heavy, lighter than i expected. i had some black 16's with neon red at the outer edge that i sold and they were heavier than these 18's.
if u want pure performance thats going to cost u big time. the super light wieght o.z. superleggera can cost u 400 or more per rim and thats not including the high performance tires.
