Hi, I have a 2001.5 new Passat 1.8T. The K/N filter got too dirty and the check engine light came on. Trust me, the filter was DIRTY! My fault! Is ther any way that I can reset the check engine light without going to the dealer??

Thanks!!

-open hood
-look at transaxel
-follow speedometer cable out of it to firewall
-there is a box in line with it that has a counter(odometer) in it, separate from the one on your dash
-There is a button on it... push it... ding ding you are reset.

(((REMEMBER... that counter is now reset to zero, it was put there to tell you and remind you when it is time to get your engine checked every how ever many thousand miles)))
