unregistered, no VIN, no motorex.....can you stil bring it in?TNH 10-10-2003, 04:29 PM Can a skyline be brough in to the US and not registered? Say I was not planning on registering it at all, for any purpose. Let's say I just wanted to import it as if it was a piece of art, and just keep it in my yard like a statue. Is this possible, or do they make you claim it as a race/show car, or legalize it as a steet car at the time of importing? flylwsi 10-11-2003, 12:45 PM it's a car that runs. you'd have to register it as something. mostly like a race/exhibition vehicle, which doesn't require legalization. why would you waste that much money just to have it in your front yard? alterior motive? maybe you want to sneak it out of the yard and drive it? hmm... 45psi 10-13-2003, 10:12 PM If a skyline was sitting in my front lawn... registered or not, well thats kind of like dropping a steak on the floor and expecting the dog not to eat it. on the other hand, im cool on going to jail. flylwsi 10-15-2003, 12:02 AM are you sure about the jail time? that's a felony offense, and would require a serious amount of time getting butt raped by your new roomie bubba... VQuick 10-15-2003, 09:44 AM No, jail time has never been a factor, unless you get into fraud trying to bring your Skyline over or something. If you're caught with an unregistered Skyline, it'll just get sent to the crusher. as121 10-25-2003, 02:29 AM If you're caught with an unregistered Skyline, it'll just get sent to the crusher. No, that would be incredibly stupid. What they do is legalize them themselves and then sell them as impounded. That way they make money. Either way, you're never seeing it again. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
