Can a skyline be brough in to the US and not registered?
Say I was not planning on registering it at all, for any purpose. Let's say I just wanted to import it as if it was a piece of art, and just keep it in my yard like a statue. Is this possible, or do they make you claim it as a race/show car, or legalize it as a steet car at the time of importing?

No, jail time has never been a factor, unless you get into fraud trying to bring your Skyline over or something. If you're caught with an unregistered Skyline, it'll just get sent to the crusher.

No, that would be incredibly stupid. What they do is legalize them themselves and then sell them as impounded. That way they make money. Either way, you're never seeing it again.
