Hey...
I have a V-6 1999 Tacoma prerunner.
It just turned 65000 miles and I hava a problem.
The fan won't run.
I checked the fuse and it's good.
That is, if I am looking at the right fuse...#9.
In the fuse diagram in the manual, it doesn't specify which fuse the fan is on.
Anyway, I figured I would check the wiring but I can't find a wiring diagram...or even an engine compartment diagram.
The same thing happened about 6 months ago...I checked the fuse, shut the hood, and then the fan started working.
No problems since...until now.
Everything else works...all controls, lights radio, etc.
That's why I am pretty sure it is either the fan, itself...or the wiring.
Any advice or any leads to finding diagrams would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Matt

I went out and inspected the wiring the best I could and jiggled it around a bit hoping that if there was a short, I would bend the wire just right and the fan would run.
I started the truck and still nothing...
Then I moved the air intake knob back and forth between fresh air and recirculate.
When I did this, the fan came on and stayed on like nothing ever happened.
