I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what type of exhaust does good on a 99 2.2 cavalier. I don't want it to have a rice burner sound do it, if I can I want it to sound more beefy, but i'll settle with no sound, all i'm really concerned about is performance.

borla or magnaflow exhaust are pretty good ones. you can go to www.magnaflow.com and listen to some sounds bits of their exhaust on cars. the ford focus sounds the closests to the cavalier.
