I was wondering if anybody out there could answer this for me.. Would it be easier to buy a usdm or jdm h22a and add the essential prep parts for a turbo or just buy the type s and turbo that. From my knowledge, the type s has alot of better features but obviously for a price. Now, the only reason i'm considering a usdm is because I can get a COMPLETE swap from a place I found. Jdm has the additional 10 hp but I am only seeing places that sell engine, trans, axels. As I said, I plan on turbo charging it but is there a turbo even made for the type s or jdm h22a or will any prelude turbo kit work?

Thanks

the usdm is going to be easier to work with, simply because we live in america. since you want to turbo, i would recommend just getting the usdm, since the turbo setup can account for the 10hp difference when its all done. as far as i know, most jdm engines gain power from higher compression and different cams. the higher compression is not very useful when you are looking to turbo, and the cams can be changed out to fit your turbo setup better.

1) the jdm swap also comes with a tighter tranny that's a bits stronger.
2) the jdm version of the h22a can use any part made for the us version.
3) i have complete h22a jdm swaps (engine, ecu, tranny, axles, shifter, all sensors, a cut harness so you can use the terminals) i can even get you brakes and suspension if you wish. YOUR CHOICE OF REGULAR JDM TRANNY OR LSD JDM TRANNY.

After you drive your accord with the JDM swap in it, you might not want the turbo after all...

big deal about being jdm, its only 10hp more.

if you are certain you want to go turbo, get a h23. youre gonna have to lower compression, making a higher comp h22 or type-s pointless.
