i own a 300zx tt 91 manual with aftermarket exhaust/ clutch n i just wondering which ends out the better car in the end they both have expensive insurance n parts but the gtr kicks arse in speed n 1/4 and the 300zx looks so damn mean and can sure pull faces n chicks but what wins in the end speed or looks tell me what yaz all think

As I own a 32 GTR I would side with the GTR. The attessa awd makes the car simply incredible in terms of traction. My mate has a 300 with boost up and exhaust and it is a quick car but no match for me GTR either in a straight line or around the twisty stuff. I like the look of the 300's especialy with an f-40 style wing on the back but I love the look of the GTRs as they look like they are on steroids. I understand however that girls would prefer the look of the 300.

It really comes down to taste. I doubt I will ever sell my GTR as I just love it. I have never found a car that suits my driving style as well.

skyline would pull more chicks than the 300ZX in the UK and it certainly is a lot faster.

300ZX looks nice... but you're not going to be able to match the performance of the GTR. Although looks are nice, you'll probably be spending more money fixing up the 300ZX and don't even think about modifying the car... engine bay is too small...

you do not call r32gtr godzilla for nothing. but i did read up on history when the first fairlady z32 came out, i heard it overshadowed the gtr for a couple years, but the gtr made it's comeback. and the lady step aside.

I have both cars you are talking about... 91 300zx tt and 94 GTR VspecII... :cool: both are mildly modified.

the 300zx is my daily driver and I can tell you that the 300zx can not compare to the GTR when it comes to performance...

as for looks, the 300zx has a nice flow and smooth lines while the GTR looks a lot meaner with its bulging fenders...

here in the US, the chicks don't really know what a GTR is, but the fact that it's right hand drive does get their attention...

ok i think r32 gtrs are sexy but i can see why chicks wouldnt like em so here is my opinion... consider a R34 GT-T...newer, sexier, skyline.... ok maybe its just because i dont like 300zx's but anyway. Take a skyline anyday.

GTR HANDS DOWN, u can never beat a gtr when it comes to rice, even if i could choose to inherate a 300zx or a r32 gtr, and the 300zx was worth 15 more grand i would stil take the skyline , go r33gtst

-GTR for performance anyday of the week, eventhough the 300zx doesnt fall TOO far from the GTR, but the GTR is supposed to beat it. nissan created it to beat the 300zx.

-but as for looks, you cannot beat a 300zx in nissan's line up. by far one of the best looking cars nissan has ever put on the market.

BTW: eventhough this doesnt matter (the guy who started the thread is NOT from the states), the 300zx in japan was weaker than the United States 300zx...so that video doesnt do the US 300zx justice. so, we as american's do not know how the USDM 300zx will fair against the R32GTR...could be better, could be worse?!?!?!

Are you sure about that? I know that the Japanese 300ZX TT is only rated at 276 HP, but that's because of some gentleman's agreement. Anyways, I'd rather have the 300ZX TT, mainly because it looks better and it isn't extremely over-hyped.

Well, skylines aren't really overhyped. they just kick the shit outta the competition. end of story.

If you want real performance with little compromise for appearance, I would recommend that you go for the BNR32 GT-R performance car. 300ZX, on the other hand, has the looks with a relatively good ratio of appearance and performance. I would put my thumbs up for the GT-R though as it has more potential for power. I reckon the R32 is better than R33 series.
