Has anyone heard of a recall on the rims/tires for the 2002 Elantra VE?

I have heard of one owner saying that he took his car in to have the rims/tires replaced by the company.

I was just wondering if maybe there was a release, posted, of some kind I could take with me just in case they try to pull a fast one on me.

Any idea?

Don't know of a rim recall but there is one on a possible brake line fluid leakage problem!

There aren't any recalls on rims or tires on the Elantra. If you can me your vin I can check for any open recalls. I am the parts manager at a Hyundai dealer in Indianapolis, IN. As said, there is a current recall on a brake line clip.

Yeah the brake line clip is a new recall takes a few minutes. I am a parts and service writer at the dealership in Saskatoon, Sk. But like was already said ther is no wheel and tire recall.

only recall is on 2002 elantra gt model and that is with abs/traction control system.moving brake line holders 1 in to prevent coroding from ice /salt buid up

Just for your information i had my tims and tires replace twice because of
a vibration problem in the steering wheel..(free of charge).this is not a recall BUT..
if you feel the vibration CALL THEM....

Reference : internal Hyundai Bulletin #117 dated in october (not sure about the date) but in canada... i don't know if it's the same number in us.

I rented a elantra ve for 48/m in 2002 full..and
since i have problem with it...

- water comming in from top left corner of the winsheld
- front left brake problem (weird noise when branking)
- recall for brakes
- recall for gaz thank system (i'm not sure want it was i have ref )
- all my windows frames re-done & repaint
- front left crossroad light burn sundendly
- weird sound from the top of motor (fixed but went 2t for the problem)
- remote not working propel....went twice to dealer
- charged for wheel balanced..????why!! vribration prob.. ???

etc...

and they don't know How to fix the vibration prob.
it's still there even the Service dept manager came for a road test
whit me and notice the vibration...???? could anyone help or know what to do..because i'm about to paint my car with gouash(kids paint) and
right on it " I OWNED A LEMON SERIAL : K123456etc... " and drive to
town every day and go to work with it....
