98 front end on 96 teg

I have to put a new bumper on my 96 integra ls, and want to put a 98-01 bumper on because I like the look better, it's more aggressive, and I like the kits for them better too. Is it a direct fit or will I have to modify? Will I need anything else other than front lip? I have herd you need new lights, but I have also herd the 96 lights will work. which is true? thanx

u need new lights. other than that, it'll bolt right on.

good luck finding oem parts tho man...they're tough to find, wish i had a link to any dealers that have them, but i failed to find any.

it is a direct bolt on. Yes, you will need the lights tho. i got all my stuff off ebay for pretty cheap so i would start there.

What about the lower air dam, will it have to be replaced as well, or will the old one fit the 98 bumper. thanks

I thought that the lower air dam was part of the bumper, I mean i thought it was one piece. And if it is two pieces then the 94-97 won't fit the 98+

I am pretty sure that it is 2 pieces. At least the 94-7 is.That is why I wondered if needed a new one, because just by the look of the two different air dam pieces, it doesn't look like a 96 would work on a 98. Does anyone else know?

lips (air dams) from 94-97 will not fit 98-01 and vice versa. lip and bumper are 2 seperate peices. as said before, ebay has everything you need to do the conversion on a cheap budget. good luck with everything

ps. if you're doing a rear conversion also, the bumpers are straight bolt ons. no need to change anything.
