CAM position sensor

I recently had the intake manifold gaskets replaced. I now get a P1345 code. The mechanic replaced the crankshaft position sensor, but the error still occurs.

I think has to be due to the distributor being removed and affecting the CAM position sensor. The truck runs fine, but I would like to fix this sensor error.

I have a scanner to clear the code, but it returns upon starting the engine, but does not come on while the engine is running.

Any suggestions???

Your cam sensor is part of the distrubitor!! Installing it wrong or off time will cause your code to set. HAVE THE ENGINE RE-TIMED!!

To add to what Flatrater said, you cannot time the engine with a timing light, you will need to set it with a scan tool and read the CAM sensor offset.
