'03 accord v6 M/T RIM upgrades???PoolBoy 10-01-2003, 03:41 AM :screwy: I was recently at a rim specialty shop and they said to me that I could go no wider than 7.5 width w/ 225's, if i would go higher in the width the man said the tires will rub the fender wells. I want to go with 19's but ill be damed if im gonna have skinny tires. So I need to know who went wide and who did or did not have problems!!! :screwy: HONDA_99 10-01-2003, 02:21 PM from what i heard (AGAIN  ) you can go with 8" wide rims, but you need to have high offset rims, +45mm and above. i'd go higher then +45mm if i was planning on lowering my car or its already lowered. rims with offset +45mm and above is not common as with +38mm offset and shop that you went to most likely didn't have anything that would suite your car, but they wanted to sell you something. PoolBoy 10-09-2003, 10:37 PM CAn you explain to me this off set stuff?? I Really dont get it. I also dont plan on lowering the car.! thanks ap :) HONDA_99 10-10-2003, 09:37 AM i could explain what offset is, but info on tirerack.com wesite does it better. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/tech/offset.gif vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
